Working on my craft room/office. I love my furniture…particularly my desks. I was lucky, I found these desks at a yard sale for $10 a piece. They are Ikea brand and have a stable frame and adjustable base, so I can sit, or adjust the legs to stand while working.
I moved recently and had to buy almost all new furniture for my craft space. Nothing I had in the old house worked here. Ikea to the rescue!! ….I digress. New furniture = my old desks, which did fit, did not match. Amazon to the rescue! lol I covered them with a wood-grain contact paper. Now before you kill me for covering wood, the desks are pressboard laminate….NOT real wood. Also, I do love the look of natural wood, however I wanted something more restful on the eye, most of the furniture is white (the dark Kallax unit is a room divider), so I’m going for a more monotone, less cluttered look.
It worked perfectly! Two rolls covered both tables with some manipulating in two corners, but after smoothed down, it looks seamless! The best part, it took my 10yo and myself less than a half-hour to complete.

Absolutely loving the desk re-do! It looks very weathered/prim…right up my alley!
