Cricut Fun

Hi!  Just a quick card…..that took me 2 hours to do. lol  When you can’t sleep, get up at 5am and play with your Cricut.  I was in a Halloween-y mood this morning.  Only one stamp used on this card!  Supplies are linked, or listed below.

For the moon, I used my Sizzix round circle dies and cut out a large circle from Neenah Solar White cardstock in my Cuttlebug, then inked it up with Old Paper, Scattered Straw and Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink and foam blenders.  I used an aqua painter to add a bit of texture by dabbing the brush on then using a paper towel to blot off some of the ink.

I found these .png clouds doing a quick search on google.   Saved them to my hard drive then manipulated them in the Cricut Design Studio to make them less “fluffly.”  We don’t want fluffy for Halloween.  I used Black Soot Distress Ink to ink up the edges to make them more spooky looking.  The large I adhered directly to the moon, then popped the edge of it with foam adhesive.  The small cloud was popped up using foam adhesive.

I also downloaded this .png cat and the branch he’s standing on from google also, quickly uploaded to CDS, no manipulation required!  He was popped up with foam dots (that was a pain).  The branch was adhered using multi medium matte.

The only stamp I used was for the sentiment.  From Lawn Faun, Critters in Costume.  I embossed it using Ranger’s Liquid Platinum embossing powder.  I used foam dots to adhere it all onto an A4, side-folding black card base.

Supplies:

Stampin Up background stamp, Fine Lace is stamped on Chocolate Chip piece (retired).
